Organizers of ING Miami marathon have an aggressive plan to get over 20,000 to register ofr the 2011 ING Miami half and full marathon.
Registrations for the 2011 race opened on the morning of 2010 event and this is the sweetener for early registrants
The first 200 registrants for the marathon and first 200 for the half marathon get a 50 percent discount — $27.50 for the 13.1-mile race and $40 for the full marathon.
The next 200 registrants for each event will pay $33 for the half and $48 for the full.

ING Miami half and full marathon 2010 took place over the weekend. Some interesting stories of everyday heros who finished the race were posted on miami herald.
My favorite inspiring story was this one.
Halfway through the marathon, FIU student Andy Wu, 19, took off the shoes from his aching feet and handed them to a friend. To soften the impact on his bare feet, he ran on the yellow stripe in the middle of the road. “I actually ran better because it helped my posture,” said Wu, who finished in 4:30. “But running over the bridge and gravel really hurt.”
I Loved the never say die spirit!
