Two words to describe 2011 London Marathon: FAST AND FURIOUS! The male winner went under 2 hours 5 minutes and the female winner went under 2 hours 20 minutes.
Kenya’s Emmanuel Mutai ran the quickest marathon ever seen on the streets of London as he smashed the course record with a time of 2:04.40. It has been a long road to a Major win for Mutai, he was fourth twice and second once in previous London Marathons.
In the womens race Kenya’s Mary Keitany finished in an a time of 2:19.18, the fourth fastest time in the history of women’s marathon.
It was a rainy 2011 Honda L.A marathon but the rain was not stopping anyone especially the photographers. The following are my favorite pictures from 2011 L.A marathon.
