Great race report. You did well by staying under 3 hours. That by itself is a feat very few people can manage. Have you read Haad's marathon training plan? Its available online and I plan to use it next year.
Next year I hope you will provide more details on your training but it seems you need more speed coz if you did a 40Mins 10K and still did a 2:57, it means your mileage is fine - what you need is more speed though sometimes more speed also requires more mileage.
Cheers and keep running.
Plan to come for Ndakaini and Mwea next year as build up races. I dare you to finish Ndakaini half marathon in under 1:20!
Congrats once again.
Cheers.
Jacob

FROM CONSTANTINE : I TAKE THE CHALLENGE, i WILL WORK ON MY SPEED & I WILL SEE YOU AT MWEA NEXT YEAR.
